Follow the bouncing ball to Hoop City - the ultimate NCAA Basketball® experience. At Hoop City, fans of all ages can run, jump, shoot and play until the final buzzer! When we say there's something for everybody, we really mean it. There's basketball competitions, clinics, performances, photo ops, prizes, the chance to experience other NCAA® sports, autograph sessions, surprise appearances and so much more. 

Bow Wow will be performing at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 4th at Center Court in Hoop City. There will be an autograph session following his performance from 3:00pm-4:00pm at the autograph state adjacent to Center Court. The first 100 fans in line for the autograph session to show their AT&T phones will receive a copy of Bow Wow’s newly released album New Jack City II.


Advance Ticket Sales:  Advanced tickets can be purchased for $2 off at select Meijer stores throughout southeast Michigan courtesy of Coca-Cola® starting March 7 or can be purchased at regular price on the day of the event at the COBO Center box office.

Tickets cost $8 (ages 12 and over) or $6 (ages 3-11; senior citizens (55 and older), and for college students and military with appropriate ID). Admission is free for ages 2 and under.

POWERade 3-on-3 Tournament:  The POWERade 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament will be held inside of NCAA Hoop City refreshed by Coca-Cola at the COBO Center in Detroit, Michigan on April 3-6, 2009.  This amateur, family oriented basketball festival is open to males and females ages 7 to adult.  Teams consist of three to five players and will be grouped by age and playing experience.  Participants will receive:  a POWERade 3 v 3 tournament t-shirt, 3 games guaranteed, free daily admission to NCAA Hoop City, and first and second place prizes for each division.  Entry fee is $125 per team and all entries must be received by March 27, 2009.

The National Campus Championship Series (NCCS) Basketball Championships is an annual series of intramural basketball tournaments where participating colleges from across the country compete regionally with hopes of reaching the national championship.

State Farm Basketball Skills Challenge - At the State Farm Basketball Skills Challenge, fans will be tested in three separate basketball interactives.  First, participants will test their shooting touch as they race against the clock in the State Farm Shoot Around.  After shooting, each contestant will encounter our “obstacle course” where they will complete various pass, dribble, and shooting obstacles.  Finally, fans will be put to the ultimate test in the “The Shootout” where they will shoot over former great NCAA athletes to score points.  Fans can also register to get a custom online photo and great Final Four premiums.
